had the athletics time trials at yio chu kang stadium for the unit. amazingly i managed to qualify for the 100m event, despite the slipping and bad starts. got to start losing weight and start training hard. haha. sad to say i don't have any spikes to train for the event. might have to spend some money to buy a pair even though i probably will never get into anymore athletics/track events. (noone wears size 10 shoes man)
had a 7km run the day after that. was horrible. felt as if i pulled my thigh muscle. and it didnt help that i hurt my left ankle the evening before playing soccer. came in with the middle group. realli coulda done alot better for the run though. who knows. maybe it's a sign that i'm losing my stamina (if i can actually call that stamina)

anyways. tt sums up my week. haha. don't expect me to have many things to do over the week yeah. haha. i only have 2 days i can really consider free. haha. but yeah.

schweeeeeet.
vertical marathon's over! and so fast at that. haha. was like what? 5 minutes?! LOL. i've never done anything like that. so pls forgive my shock and amazement. haha. oh well. was quite an interesting experience. air gets thin and horribly dry. haven't felt such an out-of-breath experience before. but it's something different from the usual run-till-you-drop-dead routine that i'm used to. haha.
bumped into allan before and after the event. it's been a while since i last saw him. heard that he's gonna try for an
ironman next year. i wanna go for one too! but it'll need shitloads of training. and swimming is my weak point. so i'll have to work hard for it, if i wish to take part in it next year. and of course there's cpt tong's offer of
another standard chartered marathon this year. shit. another killer run. haha. i'm more inclined to taking up the offer as a helper rather than a participant but i guess we'll have to see what my physical condition is like when june/july comes before i can commit. yup.
missed the final photo taking after the vert marathon though. i tend to miss the nice photo shoots. missed the opening photo taking when i was running the full marathon last year. haha. crap. oh well. at least i have photos. haha. me and my aversion to phototaking sessions. oh well.

i just looked up at the sky today and found the sky to be really blue. and the weather to be scorching hot. haha, so i'll overlook that. but it's already friday! and i'll have a small recap.
had my IPPT on wednesday. finally got my gold and the bloody $200! felt good. but at the same time shitty that i missed the gold timing for my 2.4km by 1 second last year. but i guess i felt alot better when i got 25 pts. haha. but that doesn't make up for the $100 that i missed out on last year.
then there was the inter-formation hockey 6-a-side games today. haha. moment of the day was when i practising my dribbling and i got shot in the ass by adrean. haha. now i'm wondering if it's deliberate. haha. and if i'll have piles from that. oh well. having a fat ass does help at times. LOL.
managed to get into the 2nd round/quarters in the games by qualifying as runners up in the ground but got knocked out later on by "God"'s team (MINDEF) 1-0. well. at least i managed to score some goals. so i'm glad. (didn't manage to score any last year) heh.
well. i've still got the vertical marathon for suntec coming up on sunday. haha. never really trained for it. so we'll see how bady i'll struggle for it.
