damn. i should have gone AC. like melvin.
40. A quote or a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Kites rise against, not with the wind. No man ever worked his passage anywhere in a dead calm."
ok. it's new year's eve. so it means it's a time to wrap up the whole freaking year now.
to start off. i lost 24kg from dec 2002 till mar 2003. from 85kg to the 61-62kg hovering weight now. still afew kilos away from my ideal, but i'm getting there. yeah. was supposed to join volleyball, but now i look back i'm realli glad i've joined hockey, having made lots of frens. and totally in love with the sport even tho i'm a sucky player and all. give me time, hopefully i'll be good yeah.
began my first 3 months by going to SAJC. totally looked forward to it initially, after being in SJI for 4 years, and yes, for her. sadly she didn't go la. oh well... who the hell would have given me a second look when i was fat and all yeah, it was all wishful thinking then i guess. first 3 months kinda flew by cuz my classmates were kind of clique-ish, but i still enjoyed the company of alvin, charlotte, bingxin and the likes. and i spent my first 3 months making fun of janice which now tt i look back upon, i feel realli like a bastard and all. good thing 03a13 had a good ending party with the help of alvin, which got quite afew of us back together at a proper table and eating.
but yeah... then after the 1st 3 months i thought i would be able to see familiar faces from 411 like victor, joshua and some others (and her again) in SA, but sadly all of it didn't materialise, again.
then i found out i was posted to 03a41. walked in the first day to see only 2 guys: marcus and benji. wow, and i was looking forward to more familiar faces eh. (only marcus and janice i recognised, first 3 months classmates and all) serious culture shock there, 4 years in an all-boys sch and enjoying tt type of life and now i'm thrown into a class with only 2 guys. heh, and ppl said i had all the fucking luck. wow thx, i needed mroe time to adjust and all. then came the sucker punch: 5 SJI guys were in the class right next door, then being the loser tt i was, i went nuts and tried appealing to the other class, which sadly the head of arts didn't approve and all, so yeah. then i felt so lonely and all i even decided to try appealing to JJC and CJC to at least have ONE SJI classmate yeah. maybe it's a blessing in disguise tt they all didn't want me. and by late april, i finally settled in with the help of all the ladies in my class and so i must realli thank them yeah.
even tho 03a41 is even more clique-ish than my first 3 months class, i love that class man. hahah.... we're like the biggest trouble makers in sch and we ALWAYS get away with it thanks to our CT. woohoo. LOL. and i've got quite afew good teachers to add, like my crazy chinese teacher who is just as mentally haywire as we are, as well as wonderful lit teachers (just like SJI). and yes, this is one good class when it comes to skipping sch cuz there's an average of 3 absentees everyday. haha.
ah, and there's hockey. my god, i have no idea where i would be right now if not for hockey. hockey is THE way to relief stress at the end of a long day. hitting balls as hard as u can and physically exhausting urself is a good way to end the day. cuz during hockey there isn't tt much stress, it's all abt making frens within the team and slacking around.
then came all the stupid exams and all, where i totally flunked geography and was bloody proud of it cuz i proclaimed tt i would drop it at the end of the year and all. haha (guess DEDO for a 12 pt mugger during the promos IS NOT GOOD AT ALL) but hey, i'm gonna get my good grades, somehow, i hope.
my love life? what love life, i never had one to begin with. haha. i spent like 2-3 years having this insane infatuation over this girl i still haven't gotten over yet and i still get insanely happy whenever she messages me. pls don't ask me how the hell i get past a day without thinking abt tt pretty lady haha. so like yeah... don't say i never tried to get over her by actually going for girls yeah. tried la, but never realli bothered cuz the feeling just never felt right.
since it's the end of 2003, i would like to say thank you to the following group of ppl:
og2: alvyn, rebecca, weilin, jialing, timothy and serena
03a13: charlotte, bingxin, eunice, timothy again, sharul, alvin, kimberly, shihui, thinesh, jialing and janice

woah yes... overslept for training... ended up going there like half an hour late... haha... POWER la today. teamed up with cheeyong on the attack... i fluked in 3 goals and cheeyong himself grabbed 2 within 3 games... before we were knocked out and all LOL. killer stuff. it's interesting how cheeyong plays the same position as me (left wing) and has the same b'day as me (22/2), intense rivalry la... must get the left wing position as starter, cannot lose to this cheehong. hurhur.
and yes... iskandar's guitar skills totally blew me away. tt kid can play songs tt i just randomly blurt out of my mouth, from eric clapton to blink. man... he's my new idol la. hockey goalie hero and guitar pro now. respect. and he's supposed to teach me guitar and all haha. woohoo. maybe can be pro like him sial.
then after training and slacking, i went to queensway with cy, zihan and julian. cy changed his shorts and i went to grab a new shirt before heading down to delta. hahaha... thought it was some hockey carnival, yeah, but they forgot to mention it was a CRESCENT event totally filled with crescent girls. haha... eh... not much of a loss ok... lots of stuff to see and all. hahaha... i knew zihan was a bloody buaya and all la... even got invitation to go for dinner with a group of them, knn.
finally got myself a damn haircut and all, tomorrow might be going to sentosa with the 411 guys. and friday's a hockey match with ex-SJI guys, wow... old school sial. can't wait for tt... wanna pick up more tips and all. :))))))

hurhur.

You're Most Like The Season Winter ...
You're often depicted as the cold, distant season.
But you're incredibly intelligent, mature and
Independant. You have an air of power around
you - and that can sometimes scare people off.
You're complex, and get hurt easily - so you
rarely let people in if you can help it. You
can be somewhat of a loner, but just as easily
you could be the leader of many. You Tend to be
negative, and hard to relate to, but you give
off a relaxed image despite being insecure -
and secretly many people long to be like you,
not knowing how deep the Winter season really
is.
Well done... You're the most inspirational of
seasons :)

it's 1:47am. and i'm listening to some sappy love song. and it reminds me of my SJI days (dun ask me why).
i still remember the first day i went in 302 (to be known as 411 the following year)...
seeing this stern figure making us wait outside the class while it was raining heavily even after every other class has went into the class... (like the weather effects eh)[must admit the weather added to the fear factor EXCUSE THE PUN SIAL]
then he still took his time to check our hair. everyone of us. then handing a pair of scissors to shi han and asking him to go to the toilet to cut his long hair himself. yes... it was scary... and it intimidated me like SHIT.
then he allowed us into class, where he allocated us our seats in class... according to height. so yeah. i'm sitting at the centre of the class... behind zameer and hong bird (zameer, bird and i were sitting quite close to each other i recall). yeah... then this greying and intimidating figure said good morning while we said "good morning, sir". then he asked if any of us knew his name. sadly there was no reply. then he asked if any of us were from ncc(air), cuz he said ncc(air) ppl will noe him (thing to note: this guy's a teacher-in-charge of ncc(air) and he can't recognise anyone from there. joker right?) yeah... then he then tells he is mr tung. and then the usual teacher talk abt not causing any trouble and all tt stuff, expecting good grades.
foo. must say he was damn scary on his first day up to tt point. totally freaked out our class tt day. then he had to notice a chinese dictionary on the floor. he then picks it up and asks "anybody want this?" then noone gives an answer "since noone wants, then i'll keep it. save me some money" and he walks out of the classroom when the bell rings.
then after tt some joker says "chee, slacker" then everyone laughs.
sadly i can't recall the rest tho... i realli miss SJI and mr tung. still miss tt learning environment. SA can nv do the same thing i guess... guess there's no other place tt can give me tt fuzzy feeling when i step into the building. if onli i could turn back time yeah, maybe i wouldn't have pissed off my classmates in sec 3 and early sec 4. then maybe i would have enjoyed SJI even more. life is full of regrets. damn.

SAJC 1 - 0 AJC
foo. insane match. the AJC ppl haf insane match fitness... they can just keep running the whole game, which sadly i can't. (wish i had match fitness though, then maybe my teammates won't be tt pissed with me)
thoughts on the match: first win! haha... it's nice to win. esp. when we're only J1s and AJC was fielding some J2s to play with us... which was quite scary. and they had one hell of a diver in their match. he'll fly even when there isn't contact (don't u just love such ppl). then i remember realli hitting him then seeing him fall heh. and yes... i was the victim of dirty marking (standing close positioned in such a way tt i'll trip if i tried to do a quick turn and dash), cool stuff... maybe i should ask my seniors to teach me tt :)
damn. i need match fitness. i get so damn tired easily during the match it's frustrating others as well as myself. tiring out easily makes me play in a veri sloppy manner... which like even alan and siva told me. fix it. no more empty talk. having another match with the seniors on sunday.... can't wait for tt... haha... will get to see jeremy and allan in action on the pitch for the first time. woohoo

Your Brain Usage Profile
Auditory : 35%
Visual : 64%
Left : 64%
Right : 35%
Kevin, you are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. You probably tend to do most things in moderation, but not always.
Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to "catch up" with yourself.
Your tendency to be organized and logical and attend to details is reasonably well-established which should afford you success regardless of your chosen field of endeavor. You can "size up" situations and take in information rapidly. However, you must then subject that data to being classified and organized which causes you to "lose touch" with the immediacy of the problem.
Your logical and methodical nature hamper you in this regard though in the long run it may work to your advantage since you "learn from experience" and can go through the process more rapidly on subsequent occasions.
You remain predominantly functional in your orientation and practical. Abstraction and theory are secondary to application. In keeping with this, you focus on details until they manifest themselves in a unique pattern and only then work with the "larger whole."
With regards to your career choices, you have a mentality that would be good as a scientist, coach, athlete, design consultant, or an engineering technician. You can "see where you want to go" and even be able to "tell yourself," but find that you are "fighting yourself" at the darndest times.

my god. i've never been so damn tired before. long live screwed bodyclocks.
went to play the PJ friendly. went in with quite abit of confidence. hoping to win. we wanted a win and we almost got it. but it all takes a turn and ends in a draw. not exactly a bad result... but more was definitely expected from all of us (esp me). i cannot believe all the stupid mistakes i made. and how tired i was (so tired i couldn't even run back in time to defend). fitness is pathetic. i need to improve. lots and fast. else my position as a reserve might not even be secure anymore. the absence of thinesh and eugene was relatively obvious as bok had to do LOTS (and i mean LOTS) of running to cover up alot of the mistakes and gaps in the centre. all this obviously came at a price. he didn't haf the energy to do his stuff.
but a 1-1 draw against PJ is a sign of improvement compared to the NYP match on monday i must say:
- wings are definitely getting more effective in sending in passes
- julian is getting the hang of being the last man (despite his odd lapses in concentration today)
- iskandar is improving as a goalie
must work on our weak spots... but we must never neglect all the good work tt has come out of all the training yeah. optimism is the way to go! go optimistic kevin (hurhur)
hockey camp is coming soon. (think wednesday)
was looking forward to it at first.... but i guess alot of the fun has been killed off by alot of mess ups in the preparation by the other side at the last minute. :)

i'm saving money for my new mizuno shoes. grrrr....
new shoes new shoes! yay. good running kicks to replace my modified giant lobang of a climacool shoes! woohoo.
hahah... i went to town with those stupid shoes with a small hole initially. then my right shoe hooked on to something at the bukit panjang bus stop. a relatively hard tug resulted in a hole so fucking huge u see almost half my sock from the damn shoe. wahhaha... but then i still went up the bus cuz i was too lazy to head home to change it anyway. not bad la... better ventilation than climacool 1 + 2 together bitch.
town with zameer is madness. haha... somehow i said something about the "department of redundancy department" and zameer became totally hysterical. first time i'm seeing him getting a stitch from laughing too much yeah. and from me. hero of the day sial. and stupid hong refused to step out of the house haha. then zameer said he sounded bloody orgasmic when we called him cuz he was making moaning noises and stuff. oh well.
wooohoo... managed to get a t-shirt with tt bit of money i squeezed out. i'm inching closer towards my MIZUNO SHOES. (adidas shoes look ugly this season)
i'm almost there.... :Ð
