A child crying for the moon.
But what would you do with the moon if you had it?"

so sad. lost the final to get 2nd place. was hoping so bad to retain the champions place for the 3rd year in a row for the unit, but i guess it just wasn't possible. haha.
and of all things, i had to miss the last and most crucial flick by seeing it beat the goalie but slide right beside the outside of the right goal post. how cruel. how painful. (reminiscent of roberto baggio's '94 penalty man. that was brutal.)
i dont know wad to say right now. i'm feeling so depressed, esp after disappointing a bloodied CY who had to be substituted out during the semi final match and missed the final to get stitches for an injury at the left eyelid. (and i told him not to worry, that i would get him a champion's trophy)
yes! i'm back, busier than ever. haha.
yes yes. the month of june kick starts with one hell of a bang: a fever, sore throat and 3 days of attend C. splendid!
why busier than ever? lemme just list down my training schedule for june:
monday: formation army half marathon training (morning) / inter-unit hockey training (afternoon)
tuesday: physical training in camp
wednesday: formation track and field training (morning)
thursday: inter-unit hockey training (afternoon)
friday: formation army half marathon training (morning)
schwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. inter-unit hockey's coming up. but there's no training for it. so too bad if we don't win. i'm just looking forward to being selected for the formation games. heh.
formation half marathon training's gonna be veri veri tough on me. i'm not a natural runner, and speed is definitely not my specialty when you talk abt long distances. so i'm barely hanging on to a place there. haha. oh well. at least i get to stay fit yeah.
it's been such a long time since i blogged. so many angry thoughts. so much frustration. i fear that if i mention names down here, i might face disciplinary action, à la praeman style. haha.
army-wise:
some ppl are beginning to get on my nerves. big time. being irresponsible and all. at the expense of others. doesn't help that they have that "you can't do anything about me" attitude. oh well, i've learnt to get along with Neanderthals. might as well learn to live with assholes too. =)
finally. hockey season's starting. like FINALLY. team seems strong. on paper. haha. i still want to keep my first team position as forward, but i heard competition's gonna be strong. haha. maybe i'll steal a winger place. =)
non-army:
driving's progress is seriously slowing down. too many cases of duty clashing/post-camp fatigue with lesson. doesn't help that i'm gonna burn another week in camp in a fortnight's time.
got myself many books to read over the past 3 weeks to kill time. here are some of them:
memoirs of a geisha (cleared)
the alchemist (cleared)
the last juror (quite boring. on hold)
pride & prejudice (i'll probably die clearing it. on hold)
anyway, don't want to talk too much now. i'll probably end up verbally bashing some army personnel on my blog, then get myself into trouble. again. haha.
this probably sums up what i've been doing for the past 2 weekends:

from clockwise from right: 1000-piece jigsaw, sony psp, sony ps2
and in those 2 weeks i had:
6x canteen breaks ($21.00)
1x KFC delivery
2x 24 hour standby duties
1x 6km run
1x 3km run
1x route march
1x tug of war
i'm 1.5kg heavier. shit. wtf! too many canteen breaks. that's what you get for burning too many weekends in camp: you tend to pig out. LOL.
can't wait for hockey season. need to slam in some balls and hear the board sounding. and of course i need to lose weight. haha.
I WANT MY HOCKEY SEASON BACK!
oh. and btw. 199 days more to ORD.
attack of the schizo ipod nano

my black ipod nano decided to go albino and join its white psp half-brother. schweet.

excuse the moment of madness. another recap for the week:
workout / pigout sessions summary:
2x athletics training sessions
3x gym training sessions
2x canteen breaks (life is getting stressful)
total weight difference: -1.0kg
total monetary difference: shitloads
----
Note to self:
now it's time to go on a road rampage and abuse the PDL. need to book MORE driving practicals. time to run down jaywalkers/old ladies/dumbfarts-i-just-dont-like-on-e-streets with my trusty accomplice a.k.a driving instructor.
things i've done this week (good)
1x 7km run
1x chrome plated dumbbells (15kg set)

things i shouldn't have done this week (bad):
3x canteen breaks
total weight difference: -0.5kg
total monetary difference: $60

had the athletics time trials at yio chu kang stadium for the unit. amazingly i managed to qualify for the 100m event, despite the slipping and bad starts. got to start losing weight and start training hard. haha. sad to say i don't have any spikes to train for the event. might have to spend some money to buy a pair even though i probably will never get into anymore athletics/track events. (noone wears size 10 shoes man)
had a 7km run the day after that. was horrible. felt as if i pulled my thigh muscle. and it didnt help that i hurt my left ankle the evening before playing soccer. came in with the middle group. realli coulda done alot better for the run though. who knows. maybe it's a sign that i'm losing my stamina (if i can actually call that stamina)
